OPEC‘s Secretary General, Haitham Al Ghais, underscored the organization’s robust relationship with China in the energy sector and advocated for deeper energy collaboration with the world’s second-largest economy.
Addressing the 7th high-level meeting of the OPEC-China Energy Dialogue held in Vienna on Tuesday, Al Ghais emphasized the significance of the interconnectedness between OPEC and China in meeting China’s escalating energy demands. He affirmed OPEC’s commitment to providing affordable energy solutions to China, reaffirming the strength of their energy-related ties.
The gathering convened experts to discuss market forecasts and energy transition strategies. Participants hailed the advancements achieved in cooperation between OPEC and China within the framework of the OPEC-China Energy Dialogue. They expressed a resolute determination to bolster collaboration, particularly in technical and research domains, as outlined in a statement issued by OPEC.
