The upcoming Hannover Messe, slated for April 22-26, 2024, is set to feature a plethora of highlights and collaborations aimed at addressing pressing societal issues. Under the lead theme of ‘Energising a Sustainable Industry,’ the event will bring together exhibiting companies from various sectors, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, digital industries, and the energy sector, to showcase solutions for future production methods and energy supply.
Key topics at the event will include Industry 4.0/Manufacturing-X, Energy for Industry, Digitisation/Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Carbon-neutral Production, and Hydrogen and Fuel Cells. Complementing these themes will be a series of conferences and forums.
For the first time on a large scale, the concept of the All Electric Society will be highlighted through its own arena. Organised by ZVEI – German Electro and Digital Industry Association in collaboration with exhibitors, the All Electric Society Arena aims to explore the potential of an energy supply predominantly based on renewable energies and translate these possibilities into practice.
Gunther Koschnick, Head of Industry at ZVEI, emphasized the significance of the All Electric Society Arena, stating, “The aim of the All Electric Society Arena is to discuss the possibilities of an energy supply largely based on renewable energies, and to put them into practice.”
The arena will feature a diverse program of presentations by industry experts, scientists, and politicians, shedding light on the increasing electrification of the future. Additionally, the arena will be an integral part of daily themed guided tours and will be directly linked to the ZVEI stand located in Hall 11, stand B58.
Hubertus von Monschaw, Global Director Trade Fair and Product Management at Hannover Messe, emphasized the importance of a carbon-neutral industry in line with this year’s main theme. He stated, “A carbon-neutral industry is an ideal framework for all initiatives related to this year’s main theme, ‘Energizing a Sustainable Industry.’ The All Electric Society Arena will demonstrate how the industry can contribute to achieving climate goals.”
Supported by various sponsors including DKE Eaton, Finder, Harting, Pepperl + Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Rittal, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Wöhner, and Deutsche Messe, the All Electric Society Arena is set to be a highlight of the event.
Furthermore, the event will feature the premiere of the ‘Renewable Dialogue – North Sea Energy Hub’ conference, aiming to bring together representatives from Norway, Hannover Messe’s partner country, and Germany to discuss challenges, solutions, and opportunities for sustainable transformation.
Basilios Triantafillos, Global Director Trade Fair and Product Management at Deutsche Messe AG, highlighted the importance of renewable energies and green technologies in opening up new business fields. He stated, “Renewable energies reduce the carbon footprint, while green technologies open up new business fields.”
The conference, an initiative of the State of Lower Saxony and Germany’s Ministry for Economy and Climate Protection in cooperation with Deutsche Messe, will focus on political conditions, cooperation opportunities, and pioneering technological solutions in the field of renewable energies.
Under the theme ‘Pioneering the Green Industrial Transition,’ exhibitors at the Norway Pavilion in Hall 12 will showcase a range of products and solutions, including batteries, carbon capture and storage, energy systems, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, materials technology, and safe solutions for hydrogen generation, transport, storage, and distribution.
The presence of high-profile figures such as Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz underscores the significance of the event in shaping the future of sustainable industry and fostering international cooperation.
