Gas prices in Iowa have dipped once more after a brief increase last week.
According to the latest fuel report from AAA Iowa, the average price of regular unleaded gasoline fell by 5 cents, bringing it to $2.96 per gallon statewide. This marks a 35-cent decrease compared to the same time last year. As of Wednesday, the national average price was $3.16, down 4 cents from last week.
Diesel prices in Iowa also saw a slight decline, dropping by 1 cent to an average of $3.43 per gallon. A year ago, diesel prices were significantly higher at $4.62 per gallon in the state. Iowa’s current diesel price is 16 cents lower than the national average of $3.59.
Wholesale ethanol prices remained unchanged, standing at $2.16.
