Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Tuesday, January 14, that Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company has reached a significant milestone at the Al-Hatiba field, surpassing 100 million cubic feet of natural gas production per day.
This achievement followed the addition of well S-28 to the production lines, which contributed an additional 5 million cubic feet of natural gas to the field’s daily output.
The NOC highlighted that this is the first time in over a decade that such a milestone has been reached. The increased production will help meet part of the gas demand needed to operate the industrial complex and the Libyan Fertilizer Company’s factories.
