Gasoline and diesel prices will remain unchanged this week, according to CPC Corp, Taiwan (CPC) and Formosa Petrochemical Corp. The two companies made the announcement yesterday, citing stable international crude oil prices last week.
CPC explained that crude oil prices increased slightly by 0.08% last week due to ongoing geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine, as well as a rise in U.S. crude oil stockpiles. Despite this, CPC decided to maintain current fuel prices and absorb part of the cost increases. This decision aligns with the government’s policy of keeping domestic fuel prices lower than those in major neighboring markets.
Starting today, gasoline prices at CPC and Formosa stations will stay at NT$29.8, NT$31.3, and NT$33.3 per liter for 92, 95, and 98-octane unleaded gasoline, respectively. Premium diesel prices will remain at NT$29 per liter at CPC stations and NT$28.8 per liter at Formosa stations.
