Milan, March 4 – The “Insights into Green Energy” China-Italy New Energy Cooperation Forum, held in Milan, underscored the pivotal role of international collaboration in advancing sustainable development and tackling global energy challenges.
Organized jointly by China General Technology Group’s subsidiary, General Technology Italy, and the Italian branch of China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation in partnership with the China Chamber of Commerce in Italy, the event brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders from both nations. The primary focus was on exploring collaborative opportunities within the realm of new energy.
Geng Xiewei, counselor at the Consulate General of China in Milan, emphasized the significance of Chinese companies’ overseas investments. He commended General Technology Italy for its leadership role in fostering China-Italy cooperation in the new energy sector. Xiewei noted China’s positive strides in new energy development, highlighting the international competitiveness of wind power and photovoltaic products. He stressed the solid foundation and broad prospects of China-Italy cooperation in the energy sector.
Yan Dong, CEO of General Technology Italy, addressed the opportunities and challenges in the Italian photovoltaic market. Dong underscored General Technology Group’s commitment to utilizing its comprehensive advantages in the new energy industry chain to facilitate collaboration between domestic manufacturers and local partners. He expressed the organization’s dedication to contributing actively to Italy’s and Europe’s energy transformation.
Fan Xianwei, secretary-general of China Chamber of Commerce in Italy, expressed gratitude for the collective exploration of new energy development and innovation. He highlighted the forum’s focus on investment and financing in the photovoltaic industry and technological innovation. Fan expressed hope that the event would strengthen international cooperation and propel the global development of new energy technologies.
Marco Fedato, FDI Manager at Milano & Partners, regarded the cooperation forum as significant for exploring sustainable development in Italy’s future. He expressed hope for extended collaboration with the China Chamber of Commerce in Italy to attract additional Chinese-funded enterprises for investment and business ventures in Milan.
The forum facilitated in-depth discussions covering technological trends in photovoltaic and energy storage technologies, sustainable investment in large-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic power plants, and various other topics.
