Shanghai Daily reports that the China International Hardware Fair (CIHF) has unveiled a glimpse into the future of industrial hardware, highlighting a surge in new-technology batteries and green energy innovations poised to drive a smarter industrial landscape and promote environmental sustainability.
Spanning an expansive exhibition area of 170,000 square meters and featuring over 3,000 exhibitors, the CIHF commenced at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Wednesday, drawing attention to groundbreaking developments in the sector.
Among the notable unveilings was the debut of the Jumbo-Power series (JP) of lithium cylindrical batteries by Xiamen-based Ampace Technology, a joint venture of CATL and ATL. These batteries boast high power output, prolonged single-use duration, wide temperature adaptability, efficient fast charging capabilities, and an extended lifespan, marking a significant advancement in battery technology.
Yuan Qingfeng, the research and development director of Ampace, expressed excitement about the potential of their new core power source for power tools, emphasizing its versatility and performance benefits.
Ampace’s high-power products are already finding applications in various sectors including power tools, cleaners, drones, and robotics, underscoring their broad utility and market demand.
CATL, recognized as China’s largest automotive lithium-ion battery manufacturer, reported a notable 44 percent increase in net profit for 2023, further signaling the growing prominence of battery technology in various industries.
One standout product showcased at the fair is the JP40 cylindrical battery, which has already entered mass production in Xiamen factories. Targeting both domestic and international markets, the JP40 has garnered attention from clients such as Stanley Black & Decker, a prominent US-based industrial hardware firm.
