In a significant development for China’s new energy vehicle industry, Taicang of Jiangsu province is poised to collaborate with a prominent German technical education group to establish a state-of-the-art training center. The partnership aims to cultivate a pool of highly skilled professionals equipped with vocational expertise to meet the growing demands of the sector.
The initiative, named the Christiani E-Mobility Vocational Education Center, is a joint endeavor between Germany’s Paul Christiani GmbH & Co. KG and the Taicang High-Tech Zone. It is designed to provide continuous education and certification opportunities for automotive professionals, including vocational school educators and new energy vehicle technicians from Taicang and the broader Yangtze River Delta region.
The primary objective of the center is to produce internationally certified automotive specialists and skilled technicians, thereby addressing both regional and national workforce needs in the burgeoning new energy vehicle industry.
According to the Taicang government, this collaboration aims to establish the region as a hub for nurturing talent in the automotive sector. By enhancing the local workforce’s skills and knowledge base, the initiative seeks to bolster, complement, and expand the new energy vehicle industry in Taicang, ultimately fostering the development of industrial clusters in the area.
