Projects aimed at controlling desertification and promoting new energy have been initiated in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China. Infrastructure has been completed for a sand control and wind-photovoltaic project in Ashihan Sumu, Chifeng City. Additionally, an integrated sand control model focusing on “construction, management, and operation” is under development in Hexigten Banner. The long-term goal involves planting artificial grass on 247,667 hectares of sandy land by the year 2030.
