Sungrow Provides Renewable Energy Solutions for YES Group’s New Project in South Australia

by Krystal

Sungrow, a leading global supplier of PV inverters and energy storage systems, has announced the completion of a significant project in collaboration with YES Group and Sustainable Energy Infrastructure (SEI). The project, located in South Australia’s agricultural hub known for its high barley and wheat yields, marks a crucial milestone in the region’s transition towards cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.

South Australia’s ambitious target of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2027 aligns well with Sungrow and YES Group’s strategic partnership. Sungrow’s solution includes a turnkey station for a 1500 Vdc System, with potential integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the future. This tailored approach provides YES Group and SEI with a flexible, sustainable, and cost-efficient solution tailored to their specific energy requirements.

An important feature of Sungrow’s solution is its rapid response capability. With a sub-5MW system, the technology can quickly adapt to grid demands, ensuring stability and reliability. The inclusion of direct current (DC) coupling and rapid earth fault current limiter (REFCL) arc stopping technology enhances operational efficiency and safety for personnel and equipment.

The commitment of Sungrow to bolster its Australian-based sales, technical, service, and support team further supports this partnership.
