Sunview Group Berhad, a prominent player in renewable energy solutions specializing in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities (EPCC), has disclosed that its subsidiary, Sunview Builders Pte. Ltd., has secured a substantial €15.6 million (RM79.46 million) EPCC contract from OKOP Solar EOOD. OKOP Solar, situated in Bulgaria, engages in the production and distribution of electricity derived from sustainable sources, along with conducting research, design, advisory, and engineering services.
The contract outlines that Sunview will extend EPCC services for a 20MW(ac) solar photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) in Bulgaria.
HP Ong, the Executive Director and Group CEO of Sunview Group Berhad, emphasized the significance of this agreement, stating, “This contract represents a significant step forward in our strategy for expanding into global markets, particularly in Europe. The renewable energy market in Europe presents vast opportunities, and Sunview is well-equipped to capitalize on them. Leveraging our established track record, we are confident in our ability to successfully complete this project and establish a strong foothold in Europe’s renewable energy sector. This project signifies Sunview’s inaugural EPCC venture in Europe, serving as a launchpad as we actively pursue additional projects in various countries to foster sustainable growth. Moreover, we are currently bidding for another promising 30MW(ac) solar PVPP project, which, if successful, will further bolster our presence in the European market.”
