Gas prices rose overnight at Maritime pumps ahead of the Canada Day long weekend.
Nova Scotia
In Halifax, the price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 2.8 cents, bringing the new minimum price to $1.74 per litre. Meanwhile, diesel prices dropped 1.3 cents to $1.77 as of Friday morning.
Cape Breton
Motorists in Cape Breton are now paying $1.76 per litre for regular self-serve gasoline, with diesel priced at $1.79 per litre.
Prince Edward Island
Gas prices on Prince Edward Island rose by 2.3 cents, setting the new minimum price at $1.75 per litre. Diesel prices remained unchanged overnight at $1.82 per litre.
New Brunswick
In New Brunswick, the price of regular self-serve gasoline also increased, rising by 2.5 cents to a new maximum price of $1.73 per litre. Diesel prices rose by 0.6 cents to a maximum of $1.76 per litre.
