Ohio’s gas prices saw a decline last week, dropping to an average of $3.35 per gallon for regular fuel on Monday, down from the previous week’s $3.44 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Over the past month, the state’s average fuel price has decreased by approximately 11 cents. Looking back over the year, gas prices in Ohio have ranged from a low of $2.61 on January 8, 2024, to a high of $3.69 on April 10, 2023, as reported by the EIA.
Comparatively, a year ago, Ohio’s average gas price was slightly higher at $3.40 per gallon, reflecting a 1% increase from last year’s prices.
Nationally, the average gas price in the United States was $3.44 per gallon last week, indicating that Ohio’s prices were about 2.7% lower than the national average during this period. The national average has seen a slight increase from the previous week’s $3.44 per gallon.
