Gas prices in New York State have increased for the second consecutive week, reaching an average of $3.52 per gallon for regular fuel as of Monday, up from $3.48 per gallon last week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Over the past month, the average fuel price in the state has risen by approximately 3 cents. Looking back over the last year, gas prices in New York have fluctuated, ranging from a low of $3.11 on January 22, 2024, to a high of $3.86 on August 14, 2023.

Comparatively, a year ago, the average gas price in New York was slightly higher at $3.58 per gallon. Nationally, the average gas price last week was $3.49 per gallon, making New York’s prices approximately 1.0% higher than the national average. The national average has also risen from last week’s $3.48 per gallon.
