WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The average gas price in Texas has dropped to $3.00 per gallon, down from last week’s average of $3.10.
This decline mirrors a national average decrease of 3.5 cents, bringing the national price to $3.44 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest gas station in Texas yesterday charged $2.62 per gallon, while the most expensive station had prices at $4.19 per gallon. The average gas price in the Wichita Falls area is currently $2.84 per gallon, as shown on GasBuddy’s online pricing map.
“Oil prices are falling due to new concerns over the U.S. economy after a poor jobs report. Gasoline prices have dropped in many states and could continue to do so this week,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Previous refinery disruptions in the Great Lakes region are fading, and the restart process is beginning.”
