Oil prices climbed for the fifth consecutive trading session amid rising concerns about potential supply disruptions due to escalating conflict in the Middle East, according to Azernews.
On London’s ICE Futures exchange, Brent crude oil saw an increase of $0.22, or 0.3%, reaching $79.88 per barrel for October delivery.
On Friday, the price of Brent crude rose by $0.50, or 0.6%, to $79.66 per barrel.
In New York, September futures for WTI crude oil on the NYMEX commodity exchange went up by $0.36, or 0.5%, settling at $77.20 per barrel.
Previously, the WTI contract had gained $0.65, or 0.9%, ending at $76.84 per barrel.
