Eesti Gaas will raise its natural gas prices for residential customers starting October 1. The company cites fluctuations in European gas market prices as the reason for this change.
Beginning next month, the cost of the flexible natural gas package will be €0.59 per cubic meter, including VAT. This adjustment follows recent volatility in natural gas prices across Europe, according to Eesti Gaas.
In August, Eesti Gaas had reduced the gas price to €0.525 per cubic meter, also including VAT. However, the company introduced a new monthly fee of €1.99, including VAT, for residential customers’ gas packages in the same month. This fee applies to both flexible and exchange rate-linked contracts.
Last fall, Eesti Gaas had already begun increasing prices for its most popular flexible packages. The price rose from 46 cents per cubic meter in September 2023 to 59 cents in October. A further increase occurred in December, bringing the price to 75 cents per cubic meter. Prices began to decrease again in January.
