(FOX40.COM) — California Assembly member Cottie Petrie-Norris (D-Irvine) appeared on Inside California Politics with co-host Nikki Laurenzo to discuss the special session focused on rising gas prices.
As chair of the committee investigating the reasons behind California’s gas price spikes, Petrie-Norris is leading the effort to address the issue. Governor Gavin Newsom called the special session to tackle this problem.
This fall, the Assembly is expected to review a bill that would require oil refiners in California to maintain minimum fuel reserves. According to State Senate President Pro Tem Mike McGuire, the Senate will consider the bill only after the Assembly has passed its version.
