Gas prices in Florida rose last week, reaching an average of $3.06 per gallon for regular fuel on Monday. This marks an increase from the previous week’s price, which was also $3.06 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Despite this recent rise, the average fuel price in the state has dropped by about 15 cents since last month. Over the past year, gas prices in Florida have fluctuated significantly, ranging from a low of $2.81 on December 18, 2023, to a high of $3.76 on August 7, 2023.
A year ago, Florida’s average gas price was 13% higher, sitting at $3.53 per gallon. Comparatively, the average gas price in the United States last week was $3.19, making Florida prices approximately 3.9% lower than the national average. The average national gas price has also increased from last week’s average of $3.18 per gallon.
