Florida’s gas prices saw a slight increase last week, with the average price for a gallon of regular fuel reaching $3.04 on Monday. This marks a small rise from the previous week’s price of $3.039 per gallon, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Despite the recent uptick, gas prices in the state have dropped by about 2 cents compared to last month. Over the past year, prices have fluctuated significantly, with the lowest point recorded on December 18, 2023, at $2.81 per gallon, and the highest on August 7, 2023, when prices peaked at $3.76 per gallon.
One year ago, drivers in Florida were paying around 7% more, with an average price of $3.28 per gallon. Currently, the state’s gas prices are about 4.1% lower than the national average, which was $3.17 per gallon last week. Nationwide, prices have also risen slightly, up from the previous week’s average of $3.14 per gallon.
