MANILA — In the first week of November, gasoline prices have decreased while diesel prices have increased.
Starting Tuesday, November 5, oil companies announced the following price changes:
PILIPINAS SHELL and SEAOIL (effective 6 a.m.):
Gasoline: Decrease of P0.10 per liter
Kerosene: Increase of P0.50 per liter
Diesel: Increase of P0.75 per liter
CLEANFUEL (effective 4:01 p.m.):
Gasoline: Decrease of P0.10 per liter
Diesel: Increase of P0.75 per liter
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau explained that these mixed price movements are due to a tight supply of diesel, kerosene, and jet fuel in Asia.
Additionally, rising fuel demand in the United States and ongoing tensions in the Middle East are contributing to the increase in prices.
