MOSCOW/DUBAI, Nov 21 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on Thursday, discussing the OPEC+ oil agreement and the situation in the Middle East, the Kremlin announced.
In a separate statement, al-Sudani’s office confirmed that the two leaders focused on the importance of coordination between OPEC and OPEC+ members to ensure oil price stability. They emphasized the need to maintain fair prices for both exporters and consumers. OPEC+ is a coalition of OPEC members and non-OPEC allies, led by Russia.
