Gas prices in the Central Atlantic region dropped slightly last week, reaching an average of $3.12 per gallon for regular fuel on Monday. This marks a decrease from last week’s price of $3.13 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Over the past month, fuel prices in the region have fallen by about 1 cent. The EIA notes that gas prices in the area have ranged from a low of $3.12 on November 18, 2024, to a high of $3.85 on August 7, 2023.
A year ago, the average price in the Central Atlantic region was $3.40 per gallon, 8% higher than the current price. Nationally, the average gas price last week was $3.03 per gallon, making prices in the Central Atlantic region about 2.8% higher than the national average. The national average has also decreased from last week’s $3.04 per gallon.
The EIA’s price data for the Central Atlantic region includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
