The Azorean government has explained the adjustment in fuel prices by citing “recent fluctuations in international market reference prices for petroleum and energy products.”
Starting January 1, 2025, petrol in the Azores will be priced at €1.530 per litre, which is an increase of 0.7 cents compared to December. Diesel will cost €1.459 per litre, reflecting a rise of 3.6 cents from the previous month.
The price of coloured diesel, used for agriculture and fishing, will also go up by 3.6 cents per litre in January.
This marks the second consecutive price increase for fuel in the Azores, following a 0.9-cent rise in petrol and a 1.9-cent increase in diesel in December.
