Taiwan’s CPC Corp and Formosa Petrochemical Corp announced price hikes for gasoline and diesel this week, following two weeks of unchanged fuel prices during the Lunar New Year holiday.
CPC Corp stated it would raise the prices of gasoline by NT$0.2 per liter. The new prices for 92, 95, and 98-octane unleaded gasoline will be NT$29.8, NT$31.3, and NT$33.3, respectively. The price of premium diesel will increase by NT$0.7 per liter, bringing the price to NT$28.9.
Formosa Petrochemical also plans to increase fuel prices. It will raise the prices of 92, 95, and 98-octane unleaded gasoline by NT$0.2 per liter, bringing their prices to NT$29.8, NT$31.3, and NT$33.3, respectively. Premium diesel prices will rise by NT$0.7 per liter to NT$28.7. These price adjustments are based on market competition and global trends.
The new prices will take effect today.
