Gas and diesel prices in Nova Scotia dropped overnight after the interrupter clause was activated.
According to the Nova Scotia Energy Board, the price changes are a result of significant shifts in the market.
Regular self-serve gasoline dropped by 6.2 cents, bringing the new minimum price to 143.1 cents per litre in the Halifax area.
Diesel prices also fell by 11.6 cents, with a new minimum price of 149.6 cents per litre. In Cape Breton, regular gasoline now costs a minimum of 145.0 cents per litre, and diesel is priced at 151.6 cents per litre.
In comparison, gasoline prices in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick saw a notable decrease over the weekend.
The next price review for all three Maritime provinces is set for Friday.
