Iraqi oil exports to the United States saw an increase last week, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
In a report released on Sunday, the EIA stated that US crude oil imports from ten major countries averaged 4.831 million barrels per day (bpd) last week. This marked a decrease of 255,000 bpd compared to the previous week’s average of 5.086 million bpd.
Iraq’s oil exports to the US reached 170,000 bpd last week, up from 136,000 bpd the previous week.
Canada remained the top oil exporter to the US, with 3.258 million bpd, followed by Mexico at 381,000 bpd, Saudi Arabia at 298,000 bpd, and Ecuador at 189,000 bpd.
Other countries that supplied oil to the US include Colombia (178,000 bpd), Nigeria (155,000 bpd), Venezuela (146,000 bpd), Libya (29,000 bpd), and Brazil (28,000 bpd).
