US-Hong Kong Telegraph APP, May 10th, recently, a fire broke out at the Shell (SHEL.N) refinery near Houston, Texas, and thousands of employees have been shut down and evacuated. At present, the fire at the refinery has been extinguished, but there is still a state of emergency at the highest level. During that time, large volumes of wastewater used by the refinery to fight fires were unable to seep into the ground and were discharged directly into the nearby Houston waterway. The fire at the refinery east of Houston began on the 5th and was brought under control on the 6th, but broke out again on the 7th.
