On May 15, CNOOC announced that the Hong Kong LNG project of the world’s largest offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal undertaken by the company’s Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. has realized the unloading of the first ship and pipeline ventilation. In recent years, the largest offshore energy infrastructure construction project in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has entered the trial operation stage. After the project is completed, it will greatly increase the proportion of clean energy power generation in Hong Kong, which is of great significance to optimize the energy structure of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and help achieve the goal of “double carbon”.
