On May 18th, on May 16th, the 6th China-OPEC High-Level Dialogue was successfully held in Beijing. Zhang Jianhua, Director of the National Energy Administration, and Haitham Al-Ghaith, Secretary-General of OPEC, co-chaired the meeting.
Zhang Jianhua said that China and OPEC are important strategic partners of each other. Since the two sides established the dialogue mechanism in 2005, they have maintained close policy communication through roundtable meetings and high-level dialogues, positive results have been achieved in jointly maintaining the stability of the global oil market and consolidating and expanding crude oil trade. It is in the interests of both parties to continue to consolidate and expand crude oil trade and jointly maintain the long-term stability of the international oil market.
