Foreign media: Russia is considering banning gasoline exports

Russia is considering the possibility of imposing a ban on gasoline exports to prevent domestic fuel shortages and price increases following a decision to reduce subsidies to refiners, industry and government sources said on May 23. The Russian government may also increase mandatory gasoline sales on commodity exchanges. Russia’s Energy Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
