by Wendy

June 8th, the deep water area is the main replacement area for global oil and gas resources. On June 8, CNOOC announced that Liuhua 16-2, my country’s first self-developed deepwater oilfield group located in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, has produced more than 10 million tons of crude oil since it was put into production. About 250 kilometers southeast of Shenzhen, the Liuhua 16-2 oilfield group has an average water depth of 412 meters and is the deepest oilfield group in China’s offshore development. Since the first oilfield was put into production in September 2020, the output of the oilfield group has been rising steadily, and the current daily crude oil output has remained above 11,000 tons.
