Governments around the world are doling out billions of dollars worth of investments and subsidies to help accelerate the energy transition, lower energy costs for consumers, and stimulate innovation in fuel and power industry technologies. But while governments overall spend a lot of money on the energy sector, there are major differences in where major governments spend their money, most notably between the United States and European countries.
