June 21st, Australia’s imports of refined oil products fell to a nine-month low in April, with diesel imports falling by a quarter.
According to Australian Petroleum Statistics, total refined oil imports reached 768,216 bpd in April, down 15% from 902,990 bpd in March but up 15% from 668,952 bpd in the same period last year. However, gasoline imports rose to 192,279 barrels per day that month, an increase of 14% month-on-month and nearly double the year-on-year increase. Diesel imports fell to 424,168 barrels per day, down 26% month-on-month and 5.8% year-on-year.
