OPEC once again shuts out three major news organizations including Wall Street Journal

by admin

OPEC will hold a meeting at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna from July 5 to 6. The seminar will focus more on the oil industry and its prospects than on specific OPEC policies.

This time, OPEC once again revoked the qualifications of reporters from three major news organizations to conduct interviews at the conference, namely Bloomberg, Reuters and the Wall Street Journal.

Bloomberg expressed concern about OPEC’s move in a statement. Reuters and the Wall Street Journal had no immediate comment. It was the second time in a month that OPEC has shut out the group of reporters, the last time OPEC made a surprise production cut.

Earlier analysis pointed out that the reason for the rejection of the three media outlets was that their reports on Saudi Arabia caused the latter’s dissatisfaction.
