E15 Gasoline

E15 gasoline is a fuel blend that contains 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline. Ethanol is an alcohol-based fuel made from corn or other plant materials. E15 is typically used in flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) which can run on blends of up to 85% ethanol (E85). However, some newer model non-FFVs may also be approved by the manufacturer to use E15. E15 was approved for use in the United States in 2011 and is currently sold at some gas stations across the country.
